Job summary

Trinity Health in Silver Spring, MD seeks a Health Information Management professional to coordinate daily HIM activities and serve as backup to the Manager, HIM. You will handle record preparation, imaging, release of information, and birth certificate processing where applicable.

You will guide on-site workflow, maintain EMR knowledge, and perform quality audits to meet regulatory standards. Travel between RHMs is required as part of regional support.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Health Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience.
• RHIT or RHIA certification preferred.
• At least 3 years of current HIM experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and monitors daily HIM activities at assigned facilities.
• Backs up Manager, HIM; serves as the primary HIM contact for site.
• Maintains EMR and document management system, and conducts quality audits.
• Trains new HIM staff and supports regional HIM workloads.
• Ensures confidentiality and regulatory compliance of medical records.
