Job summary

Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services in Kernersville, NC seeks an experienced Health Information Management - Manager to lead the HIM department. The role requires handling ICD-10-CM coding for admissions, maintaining Medicare certifications, and ensuring accurate documentation within the EHR system.

The position entails coordinating with the Administrator and Corporate Management Audit & Appeals staff, maintaining provider visit logs, and auditing records for QA.

Qualifications

• RHIA/RHIT preferred or 3 years Long Term Care Medical Records experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Computer knowledge and experience required.
• Medical terminology knowledge required.
• Anatomy & Physiology knowledge required.
• Able to work proficiently alone and under pressure.
• Collaborate well with other employees.
• Neat appearance and business attire appropriate for work.
• Must read, know, and follow policies; valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Serve as Department head and participate in daily operations.
• Assign ICD-10-CM coding for admissions and interim stays.
• Maintain Medicare certifications and report monthly to HIM Director.
• Communicate with outside agencies for documentation.
• Audit EHR systems to ensure timely e-orders and reviews.
• Assist with scanning documentation into the EHR.
• Coordinate ARD process between facility and corporate staff.
• Process Release of Information requests.
• Additional duties as assigned
