Job summary

Jimmy Jazz Health System is seeking an Health Information Management Manager to supervise the Department of Health Information Services. The role requires RHIT/RHIA certification or enrollment, with experience in ICD and CPT coding, and oversight of release of information and chart processing.

Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, supervising staff, and coordinating with the Revenue Cycle Director.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered RHIT, RHIA or currently enrolled in an RHIT/RHIA program with record experience.
• Two years of experience in a medical record department preferred.
• Knowledge of ICD and CPT coding systems and applicable state/federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Review, coding and abstracting medical record information.
• Oversee transcription, release of information and record processing services.
• Monitor department operations and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Perform personnel management tasks including hiring, training and scheduling.
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians and staff.
