Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs chart preparation and scanning per HIM Prep/Scan Guidelines.
• Reviews scanned images for accuracy after initial scanning and rescans as needed.
• Indexes documents to the correct patient CSN and location within the EMR; assigns document type and manages splits/merges.
• Reviews daily electronic work lists and ensures timely processing of all items.
• Validates completion and submits death certificates per state regulations; coordinates with physicians and funeral homes as needed.
