We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent HIM Director to join our team in the Tech Services industry. This role requires a unique blend of leadership, technical expertise and strategic vision. As the HIM Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all operations and business activities of the Health Information Management (HIM) department to ensure they produce the desired results and are consistent with the overall strategy and mission of the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Health Information Management department, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of HIM operations.
• Oversee the management of medical records, coding, clinical documentation, and revenue cycle processes.
• Ensure the highest level of data integrity, confidentiality, and security for patient health information.
• Collaborate with other department heads and senior management to ensure the smooth operation of the organization.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of the HIM department, implementing changes as necessary to improve outcomes.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments, advancements, and trends in health information management to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Must hold one or more of the following credentials: Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), or equivalent.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role in Health Information Management, preferably in a rural hospital or Critical Access Hospital environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory compliance, coding, medical records management, and revenue cycle processes in an acute care hospital setting.
• Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of effectively managing a team and driving operational excellence.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, patients, and other stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, quickly assess operations, and implement best practices.
• Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills, with the ability to solve complex problems and make sound decisions.
