Job summary

WATERFALL CLINIC seeks a Health Information Management (HIM)/Compliance Manager to oversee electronic and paper medical records, HIPAA compliance, and risk management. This role operates within a team-driven, mission-focused setting with potential site coverage at multiple clinic locations.

The position requires expertise in medical records lifecycle management, HIPAA regulations, and policy development, with preferred experience in OCHIN Epic and EHR systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in health information management preferred.
• 10–15 years healthcare experience preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical/health records (EHR/EMR) required, with experience in OCHIN Epic preferred.
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with policies and HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee medical records management across the department.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and risk management processes.
• Support policy development and procedures for records handling.
• Respond to record requests from internal and external sources.
• Provide compliance and risk management reporting to leadership and board.
• Lead or support FTCA-related documentation and processes.
