Job summary

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Revenue Integrity Specialist to conduct audits and optimize billing accuracy across the health system. You will support leadership education, and serve as a liaison for billing system issues, collaborating with Patient Financial Services, Clinical Departments and Compliance.

The role requires knowledge of revenue cycle processes, CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10, NCCI edits, and AHIMA/AAPC certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of revenue integrity experience in a hospital or healthcare setting or coding.
• Bachelor's degree in health information management, business, or related field (two years of HIM experience equals one year of education).
• Current knowledge of revenue cycle processes and hospital/medical billing.
• Understanding of EMR components.
• Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM/PCS; NCCI edits; Medicare LCD/NCDs.
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and deadline skills.
• Proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
• AHIMA or AAPC/ CPC-H or related certification required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts audit and review activities to ensure revenue management integrity.
• Supports education for leadership, implementation, and acts as a facility liaison on billing system issues.
• Collaborates with Patient Financial Services, Clinical Departments, and Compliance.
• Performs special projects to facilitate revenue management.
