Job summary

Eskenazi Health seeks a Revenue Integrity Auditor to perform pre- and post-payment audits of medical records and documentation to ensure proper charge capture and compliant billing. This role supports HIM, Coding, CDI, and other departments, and educates staff on audit outcomes and best practices.

The position requires hospital audit experience, knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and familiarity with EHR systems like EPIC and NThrive.

Qualifications

• Licensed Medical Technician, LPN or RN with current state licensure; or certified RHIA/RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, CPC-H, CCA; associate degree required; bachelor’s preferred.
• Experience with HIM, facility/physician billing, CDM, denials management, and revenue cycle knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Audit chart-to-bill processes for existing and new hospital services.
• Assist Revenue Cycle, HIM, Coding, CDI and other departments with billing issues and denials.
• Provide education to clinical staff on charge capture and documentation improvements.
• Investigate and resolve EHR billing, payer, and customer service issues.
• Communicate audit findings to leadership and clinical staff with clear, actionable recommendations.
