Job Title: HIL Validation Engineer – dSPACE / Propulsion Systems

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced HIL Validation Engineer with hands-on experience in dSPACE, HIL hardware setup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and propulsion systems. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working directly with HIL benches, wiring, ECUs, sensors, actuators, and real-time simulation environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, integrate, and commission HIL test benches and hardware systems.
- Configure and troubleshoot dSPACE HIL platforms, including ControlDesk, AutomationDesk, and ConfigurationDesk.
- Perform hands-on hardware setup, wiring, I/O configuration, and signal validation.
- Integrate ECUs, sensors, actuators, load systems, and communication interfaces.
- Develop and execute HIL test procedures for propulsion systems.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, communication, and configuration issues during commissioning.
- Work with CAN, CAN FD, LIN, and Ethernet communication networks.
- Perform system validation and testing of propulsion-related components and controls.
- Read and troubleshoot electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with controls, software, calibration, mechanical, and test engineering teams.
- Document HIL configurations, commissioning activities, test results, and issues.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with HIL commissioning and hardware setup.
- Experience with dSPACE HIL systems.
- Knowledge of propulsion systems, such as engine, transmission, hybrid, electric motor, or power electronics.
- Experience with ControlDesk, AutomationDesk, ConfigurationDesk, or similar dSPACE tools.
- Understanding of ECUs, sensors, actuators, I/O, and control systems.
- Experience with CAN/CAN FD, LIN, and Ethernet.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues independently.
- Knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow is preferred.
- Ability to work hands-on in a lab/test-bench environment.
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive, Controls, or related Engineering field.
- 3+ years of relevant HIL, commissioning, testing, or propulsion-system experience preferred.
