Job summary

Glydways is seeking an experienced XIL Platform Test Engineer to advance our hardware-in-the-loop testing framework. You will design unified testing architectures that span SIL, HIL, and simulation, and partner with software teams to ensure safety-critical software runs reliably on our platforms.

The role emphasizes hands-on bench work with CAN adapters, oscilloscopes, and lab equipment, plus scripting and automation in Python, C++, and Bash.

Qualifications

• Experience with HIL/SIL and simulation testing for safety-critical systems.
• Proficient in Python, C++, and Bash for test automation.
• Strong CI/CD knowledge; Buildkite experience is a plus.
• Ability to troubleshoot physical test benches and read schematics.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Nix, Docker, Ansible.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect unified testing frameworks for SIL, HIL, and simulation environments.
• Build, configure, and maintain HIL benches and hardware interfaces (CAN adapters).
• Integrate automated HIL testing into CI pipelines to prevent regressions.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to improve HIL infrastructure and CI systems.
• Monitor runtime performance, system health, and reliability across testing platforms.
