Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Software Engineer for the HIL Platform and Services Team. You will work at the intersection of AV software, AI models, and hardware systems to run, deploy, and test the next generation of GM AVs.

The role emphasizes software development, optimization, deployment of HIL services as a Platform-as-a-Service, and hardware-aware engineering within a collaborative AV organization. A hybrid work model is supported.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience writing production-quality software.
• Experience developing in a Linux environment.
• BS, MS or PhD in CS, or related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Develop software to increase the capabilities, fidelity, observability and scale of our HIL Platform and Integration services.
• Deliver reliable software through requirements generation, CI, automated testing, issue tracking, and code reviews.
• Collaborate with colleagues across multiple teams.
• Deliver complex projects through incremental development.
