Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a hands-on HIL Engineer to build, commission, and troubleshoot hardware-in-the-loop benches for automotive ECUs. You will wire, install, and configure HIL hardware, wiring, and communication interfaces, ensuring signal integrity and system readiness for validation.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent technical background in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands‑on experience building, configuring, integrating, or troubleshooting HIL test benches.
• Strong understanding of automotive electrical and electronic systems.
• Experience with ECUs, sensors, actuators, I/O systems, and test equipment.
• Strong knowledge of automotive communication protocols, particularly CAN/CAN FD and LIN.

Responsibilities

• Build and configure HIL test benches for automotive ECU testing and validation.
• Install and integrate HIL hardware, including HIL simulation systems, ECU interfaces, I/O modules, power supplies, and measurement equipment.
• Perform electrical wiring and physical connections between ECUs, HIL systems, and test equipment.
• Configure ECU power, ignition, grounding, analog and digital signals; manage I/O channels and signal mapping.
• Configure and troubleshoot CAN, CAN FD, LIN, FlexRay, and Ethernet networks.
