Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking an engineering professional to support HIL/VHIL testing and validation activities in Michigan. You will configure test environments, manage ECUs, and perform software updates using approved tools while coordinating with validation teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's or Master’s in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics, knowledge of CAN/LIN/Ethernet protocols, and strong English communication. Prior internship experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• System Requirements Analysis & Tools (e.g. Doors).
• Communication Protocols (CAN/LIN/Ethernet).
• Good written and verbal English (minimum B2).
• Autonomy and problem solving in a development environment.
• Previous internship or working student experience in engineering.

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and support HIL/VHIL test environments.
• Prepare test properties for validation milestones and updates.
• Verify test benches with hardware and software releases.
• Manage ECU inventory, software versions, and configs.
• Assist validation teams with bench setup and commissioning.
• Perform ECU flashing and software updates with approved tools.
• Support CAN/LIN/Ethernet validation, log collection, and analysis.
• Collaborate with design, validation, software, and supplier teams.
• Document findings and corrective actions.
