Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Kent, WA is seeking an experienced engineer to develop a Hardware in the Loop Avionics testbed for Lunar space vehicle verification. You will join a hands-on team, integrating flight avionics, ground support equipment, and test software to ensure correctness and performance of the AUTs.

The role requires a BS in a technical field, 5+ years of relevant experience, and on-site work in Kent, WA. Desirable MS and strong coding (C++/Python) and Simulink skills are welcome.

Qualifications

• Experience integrating and testing vehicle test beds or vehicle electrical systems.
• Experience developing special electronic test equipment and troubleshooting equipment.
• Experience with electrical design software such as Zuken.
• Experience designing test harnessing and ensuring electrical test integrity.
• Proficient with standard electronic lab equipment and measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in requirements, design, and checkout of the Vehicle Test Bed (VTB).
• Support integration of flight avionics hardware and ground support equipment to verify performance.
• Select and procure electrical equipment to emulate flight hardware.
• Create harness drawings and lead harness procurement activities.
• Design rack hardware to support articles under test.
• Integrate electrical and mechanical hardware with flight and ground software for a functional test bed.
• Collaborate to integrate hardware simulation and fault injection with real-time vehicle simulations.
