Job summary

Blue Origin in Kent, WA is seeking an engineer to design, build, and commission avionics test equipment for the Blue Moon lunar program. You will develop data acquisition and control systems for space vehicle testing and manage drawings, procurement, and installation with a hands-on team.

The role requires 4+ years in avionics test work, the ability to create wiring diagrams, and experience with lab test gear. On-site work in Kent, WA is mandatory.

Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in electrical engineering or related technical field.
  • 4+ years of industry experience with avionics systems testing.
  • Experience planning, executing, and reporting electronics testing.
  • Ability to produce electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Proficiency with standard electronic lab test equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in requirements, design, architecture, procurement, build and checkout of avionics test systems.
  • Support development environment with open box testing and card-to-card level testing.
  • Create and release drawings of test hardware infrastructure and power distribution.
  • Identify and procure equipment; coordinate build, assembly and installation with technicians.
  • Support integration of flight avionics and test equipment to verify performance.
  • Assist checkout of avionics systems and resolve technical problems.
  • Maintain configuration control of drawings and system configuration.
