Qualifications

• 4 to 12 years of direct experience in the design of PennDOT and/or PTC transportation projects.
• PE license or ability to obtain PE license within 1 year; PTOE preferred

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Leading a design team in developing roadway and traffic improvements for highway and bridge projects.
• Planning, coordinating, and monitoring project budgets, schedules, and quality.
• Reviewing and sealing plans, specifications, and estimates for contract bidding as Engineer of Record
• Completing designated assignments and reporting progress to project managers
• Mentoring, reviewing, and checking work of junior staff
• Performing field views and attending project meetings
• Participating in proposal development, project scoping, and project staffing projections
• Working collaboratively with team members, consultants, and our clients
• Attending professional organization meetings and events to build relationships and assist with business development

SAI is seeking a Highway/Traffic Project Engineer to workwith key staff in our Harrisburg, Philadelphia, and Pittsburgh Offices on signature projects forthe Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), Pennsylvania TurnpikeCommission (PTC), and local municipalities.

Responsibilities

• Leading a design team in developing roadway and traffic improvements for highway and
  bridge projects, including coordinating design elements over multiple disciplines.
• Planning, coordinating, and monitoring project team budgets, schedules/progress, and
  quality.
• Reviewing and sealing plans, specifications, and estimates for contract bidding as
  Engineer of Record
