Role Overview:
As a Highway Technician, you will work on Indiana highways and interstates performing general maintenance to ensure roads are clean and safe. Responsibilities include picking up trash, filling potholes, maintaining drainage, snow plowing during winter, and assisting with traffic control during emergencies. This entry-level position offers opportunities for career advancement and requires mandatory overtime during emergency operations, including winter.
Salary:
The position typically starts at $20.00 per hour. Salary may be adjusted based on education and experience.
CDL Positions:
Candidates with a current CDL will earn an additional $1 per hour. Those without a CDL will have 90 days to obtain one, with training provided, and will then earn an additional $1 per hour upon certification.
