Job summary

Wright County is seeking an experienced inspector to support preliminary and construction surveying, project design, and project inspections on highway projects. You will work under supervision of the Design Engineer or Construction Engineer and oversee field surveys, stake setting, and QA testing of materials and soil.

Minimum requirement is an Associates/Technical degree in civil engineering with six years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Associates/Technical degree in civil engineering required.
• Six years of experience in surveying, planning, inspections, or equivalent.
• MnDOT Inspector certification preferred.
• Lead inspector on at least two major highway projects is required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate field survey equipment to record topography.
• Conduct field inspections and QA tests on materials and soils.
• Prepare designs, plans, estimates, drawings and reports.
• Respond to questions from property owners and the public about projects.
