Job Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain electronic and communication equipment in vehicles, including radios, emergency lights, in-car video systems, and wiring harnesses.
• Perform final inspections of installed equipment for accuracy and completeness.
• Test, repair, and refurbish electronic equipment and wiring harnesses.
• Monitor and correct frequency modulations and power output according to FCC rules.
• Log repairs and adjustments as per FCC guidelines.
• Assist in preparing required reports.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

At least 18 months of experience in installation, repair, and operation of mobile communication or vehicular electronics, or completion of a 2-year technical program in electronics or radio communications, or an associate's degree in electronic engineering, or equivalent qualifications. Valid driver’s license required if travel is involved.
