Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform routine maintenance on county roads, including grading, patching, snow removal, culvert replacements, and bridge repair.
2. Operate heavy equipment such as trucks, loaders, graders, excavators, and backhoes.
3. Assist with road construction projects as needed.
4. Inspect roads for damage and safety hazards, and make necessary repairs.
5. Assist with traffic control during road closures or maintenance activities.
6. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in road maintenance or construction preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Class A Commercial Driver's License or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment and power tools.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
