Job summary

CDOT in Loveland, Colorado is seeking a Highway Maintenance Specialist to support the Loveland area and the I-70 Mountain Corridor. The role includes seasonal travel to the Joint Operation Area with a rotating schedule, per diem and hotel accommodations provided during corridor work, and base pay around $53,940 yearly.

Applicants must have at least two years of labor or heavy equipment experience and hold a valid CDL Class A or B with no air brake restrictions.

Qualifications

• Two years of physical labor and/or heavy equipment operation experience.
• Must possess and maintain a valid CDL Class A or B with no air brakes restriction.

Responsibilities

• Plowing snow.
• Operating heavy equipment such as tandem dump trucks, loaders, tractors and mowers.
• Mowing grass and weeds.
• Removing debris from roadways, culverts and tunnels.
• Installing and repairing guardrails, signs and lighting.
• Filling potholes and roadway cracks; setting traffic control devices.
• Maintaining equipment and performing minor repairs.
• Following safety guidance and wearing proper PPE.
