Qualifications

• CDL Class B license required or obtainable during probation.

Responsibilities

• Guide and direct employees at apprentice level.
• Performs unskilled to semi-skilled work in the construction and maintenance of highways, bridges and structures.
• Pothole patching tasks such as jack hammering, removing old concrete or asphalt, shoveling, raking, and compacting asphalt.
• Snowplowing and salting.
• Operate highway equipment for maintenance work.
• Load and unload truck.
• Check equipment to determine operational readiness.
• May be required to operate other related highway maintenance equipment as training permits.
• Other duties as assigned.
