Job summary

Ohio Department of Transportation in District 10 seeks a Permanent Highway Maintenance Worker 1 (HMW1) or Highway Technician 1 (HT1). The role involves highway maintenance tasks such as flagging, pothole patching, guardrail repair, litter pickup, mowing, and snow and ice operations.

Candidates must obtain Class B CDL with tanker endorsement; training provided if needed. This full-time position offers paid holidays, PTO, health benefits, pension, tuition reimbursement, and union OCSEA.

Qualifications

• Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & in reading, writing & speaking common English vocabulary.
• CDL with tanker endorsement; Class B without airbrake restriction.

• Snow & ice operations.
• Attend training to obtain CDL licensure if not licensed.
