Job summary

Ohio Department of Transportation is seeking Highway Maintenance Worker 1 (HMW1) or Highway Technician 1 (HT1) in Greene County. Role supports road safety, CDL training, and regular highway maintenance tasks across District 07.

Positions are full-time with standard hours, unionized under OCSEA, and include a comprehensive benefits package and competitive starting pay both for HMW1 and HT1 roles.

Qualifications

• Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & reading, writing & speaking common English vocabulary.
• Must obtain Class B Commercial Driver's License with tanker endorsement without airbrake restriction.

Responsibilities

• Serve the public and work to make Ohio roads safer.
• Attend training to obtain CDL licensure; if not already licensed.
• Perform highway maintenance activities including flagging, pothole patching, repairing guardrails, litter pickup, mowing.
• Perform snow and ice operations.
