Job summary

Responsibilities include Emergency Operations, on-site safety, following OSHA/VOSHA regulations, and performing routine maintenance, with a strong focus on protecting workers and the public.

Qualifications

• Must perform heavy manual labor.
• Able to read and follow oral and written instructions.
• Knowledge of highway maintenance equipment, materials, methods, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Emergency Operations: Operate highway equipment to support maintenance and construction.
• Job Safety: follow safety rules, wear PPE, and maintain a safe work environment.
• Manual Labor: work as part of a crew to complete projects and perform maintenance tasks.
• Perform duties as assigned.
• Preventative Maintenance: conduct pre-trip inspections and basic repairs.
