Position summary:

Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is seeking full-time Maintenance Technicians to perform maintenance operations in the Nashville, Tennessee, and surrounding areas. The role involves performing various tasks related to highway maintenance, adhering to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.

Schedule:

Full-time. Must be flexible and available to work on-call, including weekends and nights as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a team performing highway maintenance tasks such as pothole repair, fence repair, seeding/sodding, herbicide application, road patrol, debris removal, incident response, heavy equipment operation, sign repair, bridge work, and barrier installation.
  • Must be flexible and able to work on-call and nights when necessary.

Preferred Experience:

  • Roadway maintenance or construction experience
  • MOT certifications
  • CDL A license
  • Clean driving record (essential)
  • Ability to pass criminal background check

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Ability to maintain company standards for background checks
  • Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
  • Basic arithmetic skills
  • Proper safety equipment usage
  • Ability to adapt to new technology and use smartphones and applications
  • Ability to work safely in various environmental and weather conditions
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and performing manual labor
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools
