Highway Maintenance Technicians

Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. (Jorgensen) is a world leader in maintenance management with over 60 years of experience. We provide facility and highway infrastructure services, focusing on operations and maintenance of transportation and public works assets. Our team includes professional engineers, certified inspectors, and experienced technicians skilled in highway maintenance contracts across the U.S.

Position Summary:

We are seeking full-time Maintenance Technicians to perform highway maintenance tasks in Nashville, Tennessee, and surrounding areas. The role involves adhering to all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies.

Schedule:

Full-time, with flexibility required for on-call work, including weekends and nights.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of highway maintenance tasks as part of a team, including pothole repair, fence maintenance, seed/sod planting, herbicide application, road patrol, debris removal, incident response, heavy equipment operation, sign and bridge repair, and barrier installation.

Preferred Experience:

• Roadway maintenance or construction experience
• MOT Certifications
• CDL A license

Clean driving record, passing criminal background checks, and fingerprinting are required.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Knowledge of local driving laws and safety standards
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic, operate tools, and lift up to 50 pounds
• Proficiency with smartphones and adaptability to new technology
• Ability to work safely in various environmental conditions and flexible work schedules
