Minnehaha County invites applications for a Highway Maintenance Team Member in Sioux Falls, SD. You will operate a range of equipment, perform winter snow removal, and maintain drainage and road surfaces to ensure safe, reliable county roads year-round.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, and a Class B CDL with air brake endorsement. The role requires physical stamina, safety adherence, and ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Class B CDL with air brake endorsement required; clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Operate light to heavy equipment including bulldozers, excavators and trucks.
• Perform snow and ice removal to keep roads safe.
• Maintain drainage by servicing culverts and ditches.
• Repair county roads including pothole patching and resurfacing.
• Install and maintain fence wires/posts to protect property lines.
• Apply spray to control weeds and manage vegetation.
