Texas Department of Transportation in Cooper, TX is seeking a Transportation Maintenance Tech I/II to perform routine roadway maintenance, operate light and heavy equipment, and support traffic control and emergency response.

The role covers installing signs, maintaining rights-of-way, inspecting contracts, and ensuring safety standards, with opportunities for on-the-job training and career advancement.

Competenze

• Education requirements: No formal education required.
• Experience in transportation maintenance or related fields preferred.
• Experience can be substituted by technical training or education.

Mansioni

• Assist in installing signs, delineators, mailbox supports, and posts; basic welding as needed.
• Support traffic control, place cones and barricades, and assist in accident scenes.
• Inspect maintenance contract methods to ensure compliance with plans and specs.
• Operate light equipment and perform PMI and routine servicing on equipment.
