Job summary

DeAngelo Contracting Services, LLC (DCS) seeks a skilled Highway Maintenance Technician to perform a variety of highway maintenance tasks and related duties while training in highway/roadway maintenance. A 4-day work week is offered, with opportunities to grow within a family-owned company that values safety and quality infrastructure services.

Qualification includes a high school diploma or equivalent, 18+ years of age, and a valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of clean driving.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of clean driving.
• Able to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Able to lift moderately heavy objects.
• Able to bend, climb, stand, stoop, or walk for long periods.
• Accurate eye-hand coordination.
• Able to adapt to changing work plans and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Perform highway maintenance tasks such as cleaning culverts, mowing, and clearing brush from roadsides.
• Patch broken or eroded pavements and shoulders as needed.
• Assist in storm cleanup and emergency response.
• Repair fences and signs as required.
• Remove litter and debris from work areas.
• Operate equipment and power tools used in highway maintenance.
• Use hand tools (shovels, rakes, brooms) and power tools (chainsaws, pole saws, weed eaters).
• Work under supervision while training in highway/roadway maintenance.
• Be ready to respond to changing workloads and seasons.
