Job summary

DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) seeks a Highway Maintenance Technician to perform a variety of road maintenance tasks under supervision, with a 4-day work week. Responsibilities include culvert work, mowing, patching pavements, storm cleanup, and equipment operation.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 18+ years, a valid license with 3+ years of clean driving, ability to work in adverse weather, lift heavy objects, and maintain eye-hand coordination.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of clean driving.
• Able to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Able to lift moderately heavy objects.
• Be able to bend, climb, stand, stoop, or walk for long periods of time.
• Accurate eye-hand coordination.
• Ability to adapt to changing situations with work plans and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Clean and clear culverts.
• Mowing, and clearing brush from roadsides.
• Patching broken or eroded pavements and shoulders.
• Assist in storm cleanup.
• Fence and sign repair.
• Litter/debris removal.
• Emergency response.
• Operate equipment used in Highway Maintenance.
• Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, brooms, etc.
• Use power tools such as chainsaws, pole saws, weed eaters, backpack blowers, etc.
