Job summary

Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) is looking for a maintenance supervisor to direct highway maintenance activities across a region under general supervision. The role emphasizes planning, coordinating, and supervising both routine and emergency operations to ensure safety and timely service.

You will assess bridges and roadways, manage inventory and records, respond to public inquiries, and train crews in safety and maintenance procedures.

Qualifications

• Seven years of progressive experience in roadway, roadside, bridge, sign maintenance or pavement marking responsibilities.
• High School Diploma or GED/HiSET required.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License with tanker endorsement and interstate status.

Responsibilities

• Directs routine and emergency maintenance operations for a region, including materials, equipment, personnel and external resources.
• Assesses the general condition and surface maintenance needs of bridges and roadways.
• Investigates and responds to public inquiries and complaints regarding road, bridge and right of way conditions.
• Maintains purchase, supply, inventory, usage and materials records; maintains personnel records and reports.
• Provides training to employees on safety, equipment operations and maintenance procedures.
