Job summary

The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) Fulton Maintenance Facility is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Supervisor to lead crews performing maintenance on the state highway system. Responsibilities include supervising mowing, patching, shoulder work, sign maintenance, snow removal, and equipment operations under moderate supervision.

You will assign tasks, coordinate schedules, provide safety training, and evaluate staff performance while ensuring vehicle and building upkeep.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/HiSET required.
• Six years of progressively responsible experience in roadway, roadside, bridge, sign maintenance or pavement marking.
• Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement, no air brake restriction, interstate status (EI or NI).
• Successful completion of a work simulation examination and a medical-physical examination.

Responsibilities

• Supervises crews in maintenance operations such as mowing, patching, shoulder improvements, leveling course, sign maintenance, snow removal, and other related tasks.
• Assigns tasks and equipment; coordinates and schedules maintenance operations.
• Provides safety and operation training to employees.
• Evaluates employee performance and may make recommendations on employment, promotion, transfer, disciplinary action and discharge.
• Oversees cleaning and routine maintenance of vehicles, equipment, buildings and grounds.
