Job summary

Qualifications

• Six months of related work experience or an approved acceptable equivalence.
• A valid motor vehicle operator’s license is required.
• Requires attainment of a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within six months of placement.

Responsibilities

• Operate a tandem dump truck to haul materials to and from the job site.
• Operate a truck to pick up materials from vendors and take to the job site or stock pile.
• Perform daily preventive maintenance and keep truck clean; maintain records.
• Set up traffic control devices (cones and signs) for work zones and flag traffic per standards.
• Assist to operate heavy equipment such as a backhoe during emergencies or hazardous weather.
