Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Equipment Operator. Under general supervision you will operate heavy equipment, perform maintenance, and respond to emergencies on state routes.

You may supervise a crew and coordinate preventive maintenance activities on fleet assets. Must have high school diploma or GED; MSD Level 1-3 and Class B CDL are required or preferred depending on the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and one year of experience.
• MSD Level 1-3 completion is required for agency minimum qualifications.
• Class B CDL is required or preferred depending on position.

Responsabilités

• Operate heavy equipment (grader, excavator, asphalt paver, lowboy) per task.
• Perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Respond to emergencies affecting the state route system after hours.
• Supervise a crew or sub-unit as assigned by the supervisor.
