Job summary

Travel may be required; a valid CDL is required within six months of employment. The role includes completing time, materials and inspection reports and advancing through an apprenticeship pathway.

Qualifications

• No formal education required.
• Four years of full-time or equivalent experience in roadway construction or maintenance.
• Experience in bridge or structural steel construction is relevant to the assignment.
• Substitutions: approved vocational school program may substitute for two years of required experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a crew of transportation workers in highway maintenance and repair.
• Investigate citizen complaints to determine repairs and materials needed.
• Oversee daily project assignments and completion of work.
• Complete reports concerning time, materials, and inspection of work.
• Coordinate equipment and materials; assign duties to crew members.
• Travel may be required; a valid driver's license is required.
