Qualifications

• No formal education required for the role.
• Four (4) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in roadway construction or roadway maintenance, or in bridge or structural steel construction comparable to the work performed by the Division of Highways.
• Substitutions: Vocational school program may substitute for two years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a crew of transportation workers in highway maintenance and repair.
• Investigate citizen complaints to determine repairs and materials needed.
• Schedule maintenance projects and coordinate equipment and materials.
• Assign duties to crew members and oversee project completion.
• Complete reports on time, materials, and inspections.
• Travel may be required; valid driver’s license required.
