Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator specializing in highway lighting and traffic signals to prepare detailed estimates and bid proposals for electrical infrastructure projects. The role requires collaboration with project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and owners to ensure accurate bidding and successful project handoffs.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of estimating experience in relevant projects and proficiency with electrical drawings and estimating tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years estimating highway lighting, traffic signals, or related electrical infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical construction, estimating techniques, takeoffs, pricing and cost control.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and contract documents.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope and requirements.
• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs, labor estimates, material pricing, and complete project estimates.
• Solicit, organize, and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Maintain accurate estimating documentation, pricing, bid tabs, and historical cost information.
• Participate in bid reviews, post-bid analysis, project handoffs, and owner meetings.
• Visit project sites to evaluate conditions, construction methods, sequencing, and potential cost impacts.
