This full-time role offers standard hours 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. A valid Class C Pennsylvania Driver's License is required and veterans' preferences apply.

Qualifications

• One year of experience as a Highway Foreman 1, or two years of lead work or skilled tradesman duties on a highway maintenance/construction project, or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Possession of a valid Class C Pennsylvania Driver's License.
• Ability to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Crew supervision: Direct a team using heavy equipment and hand tools to complete highway maintenance tasks
• Work planning: Schedule daily activities, investigate roadway concerns, and set priorities based on conditions
• Training support: Teach crew proper equipment use, safe methods, and quality standards
• Safety leadership: Establish safe traffic control setups and maintain a safe work area
• Personnel management: Evaluate performance, make staffing decisions, and provide coaching
• Operational guidance: Oversee specialized workers and coordinate duties
