Qualifications

• A Professional Engineer license in Indiana is required.
• At least eight years of engineering or transportation experience.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Broad knowledge of civil engineering theory, planning and construction.
• Familiarity with IDM, IMUTCD, INDOT standards and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Establish procedures for overseeing highway road and bridge projects.
• Review and interpret plans, specifications and construction methods with contractors.
• Prepare complex design plans for bridges, roads and traffic projects.
• Develop field traffic operations for interchanges and lane additions.
• Review and inspect bridges for maintenance, repair or rehabilitation.
• Direct job control testing and documentation for specifications.
• Provide advanced engineering recommendations to maintenance functions.
• Conduct advanced engineering work in geotechnical, surveying and related studies.
