Job description

You will lead plan development, specifications, analyses, and reports for transportation, site, and underground infrastructure projects. Typical work includes the design and construction of roadways, bridges, drainage, and utility systems. The position involves preparing detailed plan sets, developing geometric layouts, and ensuring compliance with QA/QC procedures and industry standards.

You’ll coordinate schedules, budgets, and resources; perform cost estimating; and ensure that each project meets deadlines and profitability goals. The role also includes mentoring junior staff, collaborating with engineers and designers, conducting site surveys, and communicating progress updates to senior managers and clients. Proficiency with Civil 3D or MicroStation is required for producing and reviewing CAD drawings and schematics.

Qualifications – Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• 7 + years of civil engineering experience, DOT projects preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated leadership in managing complex infrastructure projects

Preferred Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) – Indiana
• Experience with drainage analysis and design
• Expertise with Civil 3D and/or MicroStation
• Proven ability to support QA/QC and maintain project profitability
