CDM Smith is seeking a Task Leader for highway design within the New England Transportation team. The role oversees design development, coordinates with Project Leaders and Managers, and drives high‑complexity transportation solutions across multiple offices in Boston, East Hartford, or Manchester.

You will mentor junior staff, ensure compliance with regulations, and collaborate on proposals while guiding design criteria, alignments, construction plans, and cost estimates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Transportation, or Structural Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional engineering (PE) license and 10 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate the technical advancement of highway design projects and ensure design accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide day-to-day oversight of transportation planning and design projects, meeting milestones and quality standards.
• Supervise, review, and mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance and training.
