SEH is looking for a highway design expert to lead projects for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. In this role, you will mentor junior engineers, manage multiple design projects, and ensure alignment with client expectations.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, a PE license in Wisconsin, and at least five years of design experience. The position offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.

Plan, develop, coordinate, and direct multiple highway design projects for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. Engage closely with clients throughout project development and after completion. Mentor junior engineers and lead internal project management, ensuring that major design decisions are aligned with client expectations. Perform complex design calculations, verify accuracy of work, and uphold QA/QC procedures. Represent SEH at agency and public meetings.
Base compensation between $90,000 and $110,000, based on skill set and experience. Benefits package includes paid family leave, flexible holidays, work/life balance arrangements, and opportunities for continued education, licensure/certification, skills, and technical training.
Preferred location: Pewaukee, WI; open to candidates residing anywhere in Wisconsin. Not hiring employees residing in AK, AR, CA, CT, DE, HI, KY, MA, RI, VT, or PR. Candidates willing to relocate should indicate in application.
