Job summary

APAC-AL, Inc., part of CRH’s South Central Division, seeks a general laborer for road construction projects in Alabama. You will perform a wide range of duties on heavy highway and production crews, including material handling, form setting, and concrete work.

The role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 30 pounds, and familiarity with basic tools. Prior construction exposure and safety awareness are important, with a focus on maintaining a clean, safe work site.

Qualifications

• Must be able to repetively lift up to 30 pounds, walk, stoop, squat, sit, kneel and be capable of passing required physical examination
• Knowledge of basic tools and their uses, basic mathematical and measurement skills (adding, subtracting, division, & multiplication)

Responsibilities

• Perform general laboring duties on road construction projects, including heavy highway or production crews.
• Shoveling, raking, traffic control, material handling, form setting, concrete work, and equipment operation.
• Maintain housekeeping and safety; experience around asphalt is beneficial.
