Job summary

Kinsley Construction Inc. is seeking an experienced Estimator for our Highway & Bridge division to secure bids, review plans, and build relationships with subcontractors and suppliers for bridges, highways, dams and utility infrastructure.

The Estimator prepares estimates for part or all the project and must work as part of a team. The successful candidate should possess an Engineering or Construction Management degree or background along with applicable field experience, strong computer skills,

Qualifications

• Strong computer skills and clear written/verbal communication.
• Experience with PennDOT, MDSHA, WVDOT, DELDOT, or VDOT projects.
• Degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Navigate construction drawings and specifications.
• Develop scope of work and prepare bid tabulation sheets.
• Prepare accurate take-offs.
• Perform site visits and attend Prebid meetings.
• Prepare detailed estimates and proposals.
• Communicate professionally with owners, engineers and vendors.
• Obtain competitive pricing from material suppliers and subcontractors; gather interest via phone and email.
• Perform other related duties as required.
