Job summary

Kinsley Construction is seeking an experienced Estimator for its Highway & Bridge division in the United States. You will secure bids, review plans, and build relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to prepare detailed, competitive estimates for bridges, highways, dams, and utility infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will hold an Engineering or Construction Management degree (or equivalent) and bring strong computer skills with clear written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• Strong computer skills and proficient written/verbal communication.
• Experience with PENNDOT, MDSHA, WVDOT, DELDOT, or VDOT projects.
• Dam project experience preferred.
• Experience with HCSS HeavyBid, Bluebeam, AGTEK or similar take-off software, and Microsoft Office.
• Degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Navigate construction drawings and specifications.
• Develop scope of work and prepare bid tabulation sheets.
• Prepare accurate take-offs.
• Perform site visits and attend Prebid meetings.
• Prepare detailed estimates and proposals.
• Professionally communicate with owners, engineers and vendors.
• Obtain competitive pricing from material suppliers and subcontractors by phone and email.
