Job summary

Seton College at the University of Mount Saint Vincent partners with iMentor to launch a higher education mentorship program for around 40 Seton College mentees with volunteer mentors.

The Higher Education Mentorship Fellow supports launch-to-engagement activities, mentors, and program operations from Riverdale, Bronx, NY, October 2026–May 2027, with on-campus presence and some remote hours.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently with regular oversight.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills in a high-volume environment.
• Clear, empathetic written and verbal communication.
• Proactive follow-up with participants and accountability.
• Problem-solving in dynamic, changing contexts.
• Experience using data to identify trends and engagement.
• Background in program coordination, student services, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support mentor/mentee preparation, pairing, and platform setup.
• Coordinate trainings, info sessions, and orientations.
• Develop proactive systems reflecting local context to meet monthly goals.
• Maintain relationships, identify participation barriers, re-engage pairs.
• Distribute discussion prompts and surveys; follow up with non-responders.
• Track engagement data and document insights from communications.
• Coach mentors to support college persistence and degree planning.
• Manage logistics for events, RSVPs, reminders, materials, attendance.
• Hold kickoff calls and maintain on-campus presence for check-ins.
