CLA is hiring an Audit & Assurance Senior to join CLA Northeast's Higher Education industry team. This in-office role focuses on university clients, offering a specialized path within public accounting.

You will manage day-to-day audit engagements, coordinate staff, assess internal controls, and communicate complex financial disclosures to clients and management. Travel to client sites may be required.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required.
• Current CPA or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam is preferred.
• Two or more years of public accounting experience with emphasis in financial statement prep, audits, reviews, and compilations is required.
• Prior experience with an established public accounting or professional services firm is preferred.
• Ability to travel to client sites which may require infrequent overnight travel.

Aufgaben

• Executing and managing the day-to-day activities of audit engagements with university clients from start to finish, including budget, planning, fieldwork, staff direction and financial statement preparation.
• Reviewing client accounting and operating procedures.
• Developing and assessing the design and implementation of internal controls.
• Preparing all necessary financial statement disclosures and reportable condition letters.
• Communicating technical matters effectively with staff, management, and clients.
