Job summary

CLA Northeast is hiring an Audit & Assurance Senior to join our Higher Education team. This in-office role is based out of Southern New England locations, focusing on university clients and specialized audit work.

You will oversee day-to-day audit engagements, assess internal controls, and communicate findings to clients and management. Strong accounting education and CPA eligibility are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
• Two+ years of public accounting experience with emphasis in financial statements and audits required.
• CPA eligibility preferred.
• Ability to travel to client sites; overnight travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Execute and manage day-to-day audit engagements for university clients from planning to report disclosures.
• Review client accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Develop and assess design and implementation of internal controls.
• Prepare financial statements and related disclosures and correspondence.
• Communicate technical matters clearly with staff, management, and clients.
