Job summary

CLA Northeast's Higher Education team seeks an Audit & Assurance Senior to join our university-audit practice in a full-time, in-office role based in Southern New England. You will lead day-to-day audit engagements, manage budgets, plan fieldwork, supervise staff, and prepare financial statements with proper disclosures.

Required: Bachelor's in Accounting; CPA eligibility preferred; 2+ years in public accounting; travel to client sites may be required. Competitive compensation and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required.
• Two or more years of public accounting experience with emphasis in financial statement preparation, audits, reviews, and compilations.
• Current CPA or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam is preferred.
• Willingness to travel to client sites, which may include overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Executing and managing day-to-day activities of audit engagements for university clients from start to finish.
• Reviewing client accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Preparing financial statements and related disclosures.
• Communicating technical matters clearly with staff, management, and clients.
